Is it true that cannibals don't eat clowns because they taste funny?
I have started a new hobby (besides blogging). I am teaching myself to knit. Last night I was able to get my first section of knitting off that looked semi decent.
Here was the first day's trials & errors:
And here is my first, fairly decent, knitting specimen:
If anyone has any knitting tips, I am happy to hear then. Well, I am on my way garage-sailing. If I find any really good buys, maybe I will share them with my blogging buddies :-)

It looks like you have got a good start on your knitting. If you need any help with the knitting thing I may be able to help. I keep everything very simple - I love to make baby blankets.
I can not wait to see pictures of your son.

I can't wait to be able to make a baby blanket! Thanks for the offer of help, I may have to take you up on it sometime :)
Gosh, it's too bad you don't know anyone who has offered to teach you to knit. Maybe you could ask around your best friends and find someone! :-) or even click on links in their blog to find some great websites with instructions and tips. Nice job with your knitting though!! :-)
Wendy, if you read this, I am just messing with Deanna, she'll need all the help she can get! LOL :-) See the smiley face Deanna?
I would LOVE to learn to knit. I'm trying to find a way to knit AND keep the dog hair from being woven into whatever I'm making. I may vacuum often, but that stuff gets around!
I need to just sit down and have my husband's grandmother teach me, I know she'd love to. I could make hats, slippers, blankets, stockings, and all sorts of fun things. Or is that crochet? You can see why I haven't learned to knit, I'm quite confused. ;)
If we could only figure out how to knit with dog hair, we'd be rich!
I have a friend that knits socks, so it must not be only crochet. I think the stitch just has a different look to it, that is all.
Here is info on spinning and using dog hair.

Whoa. Thanks April, I would've never thought of that! (and still won't even consider it LOL)
