If you have an open mind is there a chance your brain might fall out?

Okay, two things:

1. I am so grateful for friends, old and new, that help ease this difficult time of waiting. You all know who you are!

2. I have large houseplants that sit on the floor. Should I sell them in my garage sale? Are they unsafe or impractical with a toddler around? I need advice from experienced moms!

On the adoption front: No news (sigh)

I'd sell them in your garage sale. However, I'm more at the extreme end of bare-minimum-stuff-so-less-yelling-at-the -kids. I do think it's a good thing to teach kids not to touch those things, but I'm just not up for it. :)

Ummm...did you just call me old? I resemble that remark.

I am with Denise here...it is good to teach kids to stay out of stuff, but it's alot of work and I'm tired. You probably have alot more energy than me because as you pointed out, you are young and I am old! There is one really common houseplant that is poisonous though called Dieffenbachia. I've never noticed if you have one. I vote sell and don't worry about the baby digging in the dirt and eating the leaves.

Yes, good friends are such a blessing!

Personally, I'm not too good with caring for living things...aside from my family :+) Pets, plants, etc. don't stand a chance in my house! I agree with Denise, too. One less thing to hassle the kids about.

Okay, it is unanimous, I am selling the plants in the yard sale. I guess I need more room for toys and stuff anyway.

And April, when I wrote the post about old and new friends, I almost added this line: "And no April, I am not talking age here." LOL. I guess I should have :)

Thanks for all your advice ladies. If you want some big plants, come to my garage sale!

Wow I did not believe there were so many couples adopting from Ethiopia in this area! Nice to meet you all!

LOL! Please no age comments here. I'm prob ancient in comparison. All the people I know believe I'm nuts to be adopting, but it is my passion. Praise God for my wife, she has energy to put up with me and my passion for kids and the organizational skills to hold it all together. With this adoption we will have 10 kids at home (maybe down to 9 in a year when oldest heads out into big world) - without her skills we would descend in to chaos never to return - LOL.

Hi David & Barb!

Yes, you have probably found that there are a whole slew of us adoptive parents in the area, all staying in touch via blogs. So glad you could join us!

10 KIDS??? That is amazing. Do you guys have a blog? I would love to read more about you :)
