Why do people who know the least know it the loudest?
Well, our tickets are booked: we fly out of Detroit in the wee hours on Thursday, August 30th. We are praying that this month FLIES by quickly, because the suspense is killing us :)

Are you flying Ethiopian air? Did you reserve thru Travel Intrigue? Sorry to be nosy!
No problem at all - I don't think you are being nosy :) Yes, we are flying Ethiopian Air and yes, we did reserve through Travel Intrigue. We did A LOT of research on our own before we met with Travel Intrigue and they were the most cost effective and the easiest. We fly Detroit to Washington D.C., Washington D.C. to Rome (we do not get off the plane here, just refuel) and then on to Addis. Same way back. Shorter then some labor and deliveries, right? ;-)
Oh, I'm so glad for the info in the above comment. I, too, tend to do SO much research and it's nice to know we can just go to them and have them take care of us. :)
I will pray that this month just fly by. I can't imagine how exciting it will be to actually have tickets!!
YAY!!! How exciting!
Make sure you leave room in one of your suitcases for me, although I greatly exceed the 50lb. baggage limit. I've got some serious weight to lose in 3 weeks, 5 days!
Great news! I love having plane tickets reserved, although it does make waiting for the actual trip date *that* much harder...:-)
Hi - just found your blog via your AAR group post, and I can tell I'll have to be a regular visitor. Your little guy is adorable and I love the quotes - especially this most recent, which echos EXACTLY how I'm feeling about some of the groups lately. So I'm hooked - adorable baby + smart blogger = addicted me!
Congratulations by your progress!
Hi Deanna - I have one question for you if you don't mind sharing a little more...:-) Is there a particular reason you guys aren't travelling sooner than August 30th, or was it just better with airfare etc...?
Karen,
I honestly don't know. I am trying not to think about it and just be excited, but I have to admit, it bothers me a little.
However, it is a little better airfare, but to be honest we would pay whatever it took if we could go get him now.
And I don't mind sharing at all - I know what it feels like to CRAVE info! Bring on the questions! :-)
Thanks for sharing, Deanna! I just couldn't help noticing that other bloggers' trip dates were much closer to their actual court date...So AAI told you when to go?
Yeah! I'm so happy for you.
Now, here is my idea. To help make the time fly I am making a list of things for you to do around my house. Let's see...I need a few rooms repainted, the deck and siding power washed, a new garden bed dug out and the basement cleaned and organized. There, I will come up with a list for the next day in a bit.
Karen: Yes, AA told us when to go. We tried suggesting earlier, but we were told it wasn't possible.
April: Ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha :) I think I might be able to find a thing or two to do around here, but thanks for the offer!
